Delicious boutique wines at a bargain! These wines are meticulously tended in the vineyard and in the winery....you'd expect to pay a premium price for these wines but they're all under $15! Seriously - these wines will blow your mind - and your palate! There are four wines to choose from - Chardonnay, Cabernet, Zinfandel, and a red blend. California Lodi appellation wines.
 2008 The Other - 50% Cab, 40% Merlot, 10% Syrah from Lodi, CA. $13.99 - As the winemaker said, this wine "will gently knock your socks off". Delicious. Aromas of blackberry and plum are complemented by cedar, and flavors of sweet black cherries and boysenberries, with a hint of smoky, dark oak lead to a long finish. And lets not forget to mention a rather "interesting" label...
2007 Cabernet $13.99 - Extensive vineyard management and 12 months in French oak make up the roots of this amazing Cabernet. Reminiscent of Bordeaux, but with all the grippy tannins and structure of expensive California Cabs. Black raspberry and currant with toasty oak, chocolate, and dark roasted coffee bean aromas. A sip fills the mouth with blackberry pie, and hints of rich, ripe black cherries, sweet oak and white pepper. Drink now, but definitely save a few for the next 5-8 years.
2007 Chardonnay- $13.99 - 12 months aged in French oak - lingering aromas of vanilla, lemon meringue pie, and hints of buttery notes greet you. The mouth fills with tropical fruit, homemade lemon pie and vanilla, which round out the wine and leave a long finish.
2008 Immortal Old Vine Zinfandel -$13.99 - Scoop this one up -this wine is harvested from 113 yr old vines (very ugly gnarly vines) from the largest single block of head trained, natural rooted Zinfandel in the country. Cool huh? Wait 'til you try the wine! Aromas of this wine combine red and black cherry, mineral, earthy rhubarb and red fruit, with slightly spicy characters. In the mouth, the palate is wrapped in a velvety layered mix of sweet red cherry, strawberry, cocoa and juicy red fruit followed by light toast and smooth tannina. This is a wine for great food, friends and conversation, or an intimate meal for two by a flickering fire. Enjoy!

This weekend at River St we're pouring some of our favorite wines- Spanish - with goodies from Ole Imports, and at Lexington St we'll be highlighting "shrimp on the barbie" wines to pair with your grilled dishes.
