NewWinesNew Arrivals

Sometimes we just have to move a few cases of wine around to make room for more....Here's the latest on our new arrivals from Spain, Italy, and the US. All taste-tested and approved for your delight!

Plus- don't forget that at our Speakeasy tasting this Sunday, May 23rd, you'll be able to try some of these! NOTE:That tasting is at a new time from 1-3p.m.

Shaya VerdejoShaya 2009 Old Vine Verdejo (Rueda, Spain) - What would you get if you crossed the flavors of a Sauvignon Blanc with  a Pinot Grigio? Verdejo wine from Spain!  The vines for this wine are 75-112 years old, so there are refined and mature flavors in this wine. Zesty lemon grass and grapefruit with strong perfume aromas greet you. Very succulent lime, grapefruit, and tropical fruit flavors in a light body and dry style wine will make you a new fan of Verdejo. An affordable and spectacular white wine! Barbara's favorite!

NewBarolosNew Barolos - King of Italian Wines
Giacomo Fenocchio 2004 Barolo DOCG Bussia $43.99
Giacomo Fenocchio 2005 Langhe Nebbiolo $26.99

Giacomo Fenocchio BarolosWe recently had a winemaker visit from the sons of Azienda Agricola Giacomo Fenocchio, and while some translation was a must, we could all agree and understand one thing - these wines are finessed and elegant.
We already carry the Cannubi DOCG Barola, and decided to add a couple more.
They are both in the Monteforte d'Alba Bussia DOCG area and are 100% Nebbiolo. The Langhe is a younger wine both in vine age, and maturation. Both wines exhibit rose, licorice, and cherry aromas and have grippy tannins - lesser to higher degree based on the wines, but both are balanced with fruit forward expressions up front and long finishes.

NewPinotsCalling all Pinot-philes - check out these new Pinot Noirs....
2007 Siduri "Keefor Ranch Vineyard" RRV $34.99 - 88pts WS - This is an extremely limited find -its sold out at the winery and thus we only have 1 case. The fruit and alcohol combine to give the wine a lightly creamy body and texture. The finish is fairly long with persistent fruit and a small amount of warmth- an earthy herbal side to dried berry and black cherry fruit flavors highlight this wine. Get it before its gone...

Patricia Green label2008 Patricia Green Cellars "Four Winds" $34.99 - Patricia Green Cellars is located in the Ribbon Ridge district of Yamhill County, Oregon. Highly selective vineyard management and wine making go into these boutique wines  - only 325 cases produced. Violets and berry aromas are balanced with fresh raspberry and blackberry flavors with accents of bramble, cedar, and smoke. This is a full bodied Pinot Noir, with a long finish. Enjoy now or store a few in the cellar.

Tolosa Winery label2007 Tolosa Edna Ranch Pinot Noir - $21.99 -87 pts WE. You'll continue to see excellent wines coming from the smaller viticultural areas of the Central Coast in California, which includes San Luis Obispo. This Pinot, from the oldest winery in San Luis Obispo, shows rasberry, cherry, and distinct Pinot Noir aromas. The wine has nice grippy tannins from French oak aging, and sweet cherry and tobacco flavors. Very balanced and enjoyable! Only 5,000 cases produced.

Cheers!
