Umani Ronchi 2008 Verdicchio - WS Best Value 85pts - this Italian white Attractive sliced pineapple and lemon aromas and flavors follow through to a medium body. Delivers lots of fresh fruit and bright acidity.
Ken Forrester 2009 "Petit" - WS Best Value 86pts - South African Chenin Blanc (wines they are famous for) Attractive sliced pineapple and lemon aromas and flavors follow through to a medium body -lots of fresh fruit and bright acidity.
Jean-Luc Colombo 2009 Cape Bleue Rose - a delicious, Southern France rose of Syrah, Mouvedre, and Counoise has flavors of fresh rasberries, cherries, and a hint of black olive, and a delicately perfumed aroma of peaches and rose petals.
Abundance 2005 Old Vine Zinfandel- from Lodi, CA. Pair this concentrated zin with BBQ, grilled meats, and with unique and strong cheeses - or just enjoy a glass by itself! Spicy clove and juicy berries with a touch of oak tannins.
Chappelle St.Arnoux 2007 Vacqueryas -RP 91-93pts -70 % Grenache,25 % Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre Rhone blend . A full bodied wine, with aromas of candied cherry and vanilla with blackberry fruit, pepper, spice box, and meaty notes. A fantastic Cote-du-Rhone value -$14.99!

Vina Palo Alto 2009 Sauvignon Blanc - Lime is the singular note on the palate, with racy acidity and a finish of grapefruit zest and minerals. The fruit is nicely concentrated and expressive.

Marques de Casa Concha 2008 Chardonnay -WS 90pts - racy white delivers a solid core of apple, melon and lemon verbena notes that persist through the fresh, invigorating finish.
Marques de Casa Concha 2007 Cab - WS 91pts - aged in French oak for 14 months. Cherry and subtle fig aromas, with dark currant, fig and blackberry fruit flavors supported by briar, licorice, and coffee notes.
Marques de Casa Concha 2005 Merlot - WS 90pts -There's a small amount of Carmenere in this wine. Barrel aged in French oakfor 14 months, it displays intense plum and cherry aromas, and wood from the casks adds generous hints of chocolate and vanilla to this full bodied wine with velvety tannins. Delicious and affordable!

Wine of the Month
JK Estates 2007 "La Riata" $12.99
For folks that stopped into our Speakeasy Sunday tasting on March 28th, you certainly know why this wine is being showcased!
The wine is a blend of 5 grapes - Dolcetto, Barbera, Sangiovese, Cabernet. and Zin. Blends are really hot now, and this is one that EVERYONE really agrees is a big hit. The winery is out of Paso Robles, Ca, and the grapes for this wine were sourced from Lodi, Ca.
Ripe, dark berry fruit, vanilla, rasberry, and spice aromas make your mouth water....then you taste layers of cinnamon, ripe plum, jammy rasberry, and vanilla, balanced with nice tannins, and an elegant dry finish. This wine appeals to everyone, and for the price its a steal.
The winemaker, Justin Kahler, actually honed his skills early on as an apprentice winemaker at the prestigious Peter Michael Winery. His belief is that all great world-class wine starts in the vineyard, which is where he begins to craft his amazing wines. The availability on this wine is limited, as are all of the wines by JK Estates, so make sure you stop in and grab a bottle or two..or 3....
