Just in time for Valentine's Day, D&L will be pouring the delicious sparkling wines of Domaine Chandon.
Join us at either the River St or Lexington St stores from 5 - 7p.m this Thursday Feb 11th for this special tasting of Domaine Chandon's Brut Classic, Blanc de Noirs, and Rose.
If you haven't tried these Californian sparkling wines (owned by Moet & Chandon, makers of Dom Perignon), then this is your chance to experience flavorful sparkling wines that still have the classic trademark of champagne elegance. They're affordable and each one exhibits flavors of the fruit represented in each bottle. All on sale at D&L for just $14.99.
Brut Classic - 90pts WE -Chardonnay and Pinot Noir each bring classic apple, and hints of cherry, with nutty flavors rounding out the dry finish.
Blanc de Noirs - 100% Pinot Noir. I love this sparkling wine! The 100% varietal style lets the wine lightly showcase the red berry flavors you find in Pinot Noir, but its balanced with creamy, lees flavors of champagne, and the color is a delicate salmon.
Rose -This sparkler has a dramatic pink color, and is the most popular selling of the trio. A Chard and Pinot Noir blend, its enhanced with still Pinot Noir in the process to add bold, juicy flavors. |

New Wines! Shannon Ridge Wines
Every now and then we sample and find something that is affordable, amazing, and maybe somewhat unheard of. That's what we have in these new Shannon Ridge wines. Northern California wines with finesse, flavor, and value.
Shannon Ridge is just north of Napa in Lake County and they actually are best known up in those parts for selling their grapes to ultra premium Napa wineries. Luckily for us they're making award winning wines under their own label now for less than $20!
We'll be opening them this weekend at our River St store for tasting, so be sure to drop by! Shannon Ridge Cab '07 $14.99- a real "stain your teeth" Cabernet. This wine took Gold at the California State Fair, the premier wine competition in the US. It displays ripe blackberry, blueberry, and vanilla flavors with an elegant finish. You won't believe what you get for the money with this wine!
