Greetings!
I hope you are doing well and I am sure you are looking forward to the warm weather. In fact, today I saw tulips making their way thought the thawing ground which reminded me of the papillae on my palate. Lately, when I am choosing a wine for dinner I find myself contemplating between red and white- a sign that my palate is slowly changing. While we make this transition from red to white we have tons of new arrivals that will suit your palate no matter what your papillae are yearning for.
2008 roses, crisp whites from New Zealand, Chile and Spain, and aromatic whites from the Loire are pouring through the back door and on to our shelves. We also have great suggestions on wines for Easter and Passover.
This month is full of events. The Fiorella Wine Dinner coming up this Tuesday is currently sold out as if it were the last supper! We look forward to seeing you there. Also we are excited to join Brasserie Jo at the Colonnade Hotel for a two part wine reception and dinner event. Nearing the end of the month we will be teaming up with my favorite place, Solea Tapas Bar and Restaurant for a second time! We had such a blast last November at their 7th Anniversary Wine Dinner that you are guaranteed a good time! These events fill up quick so don't delay. Scroll down for more info.
Sincerely,
Leah Dion D&L Liquors |

Easter & Passover Wines Ham and Lamb Wines
Easter and Passover is a time to reflect and spend time with friends and family. Like most holidays its also a time to enjoy a great meal. A traditional Easter menu is usually centered around a juicy spiral ham or leg of lamb.
If you are having ham we suggest...
2007 Foris Riesling ($15.99) from the Rogue Valley, Oregon. This wine is reminiscent of an Alsacian Riesling because of it's rich and aromatic nose and will pair nicely because of it's tamed sweetness. If you perfer red wine with ham then we would suggest the 2007 Joel Gott Zinfandel ($16.99) from four major regions in Califonia including Lodi, Amador, Napa and Sonoma. This Zin with it's higher alcohol and fruit forwardness will add demention to the table without overpowering or clashing with the sweetness of the ham.
If you are having lamb we suggest...
2007 Bouchard Aine & Fils Bourgogne Pinot Noir ($12.99) not only because it would pair nicely with grilled or roasted lamb but also because it's only $12.99! The wine is well-balanced and harmonious and will add elegance to your meal. If you fancy something a bit heavier in character, then we suggest the 2006 Alexander Valley Vineyards Merlot ($17.99) from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma. Flavors of blackberry, cassis and sweet oak are neatly framed by soft tannins. It truly is a delicious wine for all occasions.
We also have a selection of Kosher wines including Ella Vineyards, Hai, Gabreiele, Vino and more!
WE WILL BE OPEN ON EASTER SUNDAY
