Greetings!
The Specialists in our Wine Department have been very busy scurrying around attending wine tastings, searching through newspapers and magazines, and making deals with suppliers looking for the best wines to feature at our stores this September and into the Autumn months. And it's something to be excited about!
We have found the best valued wines around and urge you to check us out and belly up to a buttery Chardonnay, or dazzle your loved one with a robustly seductive Syrah.
Sincerely,
The Dion Family & Staff D&L Liquors |

Wine Merchants since 1933 FRED's FAVORITE Sur de los Andes Bonarda 2006 Argentina wines are priced right for every day drinking but the country has much more to offer than Malbec. My pick of the month is a Bonarda produced by Argentina's world class wine producer, Sur. Many of the wines from Sur have been rated as great wine values, one of which was the Bonarda scoring an 87 from the Wine Enthusiast and is also one our favorites at D&L. This Bonarda is light to medium body with pleasant fruit aromas of pomegranate and blackberry. A surprising sweet cigar box aroma is present in the back with strong acidity. Perfect for late summer barbecues. $11.99 or 2/$19.99
SARAH SELECTS Seghesio Zinfandel Sonoma 2006 Seghesio has been one of our top selling Zin's for the last 6 years straight and I am excited to present the new 2006 Vintage that is now in stock. The nose is full of raspberry and lush dark fruit flavors with hints of clove. The fine grained tannins add dimention and make the perfect pair for sharp cheeses. $21.99
SUSAN SHARES what is NEW TO OUR STORE Castel Noarna Salvanel 2006 This Italian white is a blend of Chardonnay, Riesling, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Nosiola. With this line up of grape varietals you might think you were about to taste a total "fruit bomb". Instead you experience a wine with flavors so subtle you need to take care not to serve it too cold as the delicate nose and nuances will disappear. Plenty of bright acidity make this wine a refreshing sipper as well as a great food wine, pairing well with poultry, seafood, light cheeses and cream sauces. $15.99
LEAH LOVES Paco & Lola Albarino Rias Baixas 2007 Not only is this wines vibrant polka dot label catchy and fun but the wine is clean and brilliant in color too. Complex with outstanding aromatic intensity of herbs and citrus fruits. Fresh flavors are balanced by lively acidity giving a crisp, attractive taste. The absolute star of the party and makes the perfect duo with sushi- my favorite! $18.99
